Tonicello Resort & Spa is located in Capo Vaticano, in the municipality of Ricadi, about 8 km from Tropea and 500 metres from Ricadi-Capo Vaticano railway station. A shuttle service is available upon reservation, free of charge from the railway station and for a fee from Lamezia Terme Airport.

How to get to the Tonicello Resort & Spa:

By car from the north
Take the A2 Mediterranean motorway in the direction of Reggio Calabria and exit at Pizzo Calabro. From here, follow the directions to Vibo Marina and then continue along the SS522, a scenic road that passes through some of the most beautiful coastal locations in Calabria. You will pass through Briatico, Zambrone and Parghelia before arriving in Tropea, the famous 'pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea'. Continue in the direction of Santa Domenica and Capo Vaticano, where you will easily find the resort.
By car from the south
Take the A2 Mediterranean motorway in the direction of Salerno and exit at Rosarno. Follow the signs for Nicotera and continue towards Joppolo, skirting the Tyrrhenian coast. From here, the road winds through Coccorino and Ricadi, two small villages surrounded by olive groves and Mediterranean scrub. After San Nicolò, the last hamlet before the coast, you will reach Capo Vaticano and our resort.
By train
Tonicello Resort & Spa is located 500 metres from the Ricadi - Capo Vaticano railway station. Book our free shuttle service in advance and we will be happy to pick you up! From the airport
The closest and most convenient airport is Lamezia Terme. You can use our shuttle service (paid service). Please note that you must book the service well in advance. Amazing esperience in Costa degli Dei

I stayed in the resort for a week with some friends. This is a very large structure with everything you might need for a relaxing vacation: comfortable rooms, a private beach (with bar), restaurant, pool, gym and so on... I enjoyed very much our staying, we spent most of the time at the beach (with an appreciated shuttle service) and during meals we could try the amazing cousine of Calabria, with ingredients supplied by local companies. Staff was always kind and helpful. Position is also logistically strategic: train station directly connected to Lamezia's airport is very close by.

A Jewel In Calabria

We cannot recommend Hotel Resort Tonicello highly enough. The only pity for us was that we did not stay longer. Good food, amazing team/staff, beautiful pool and pool area, practically on the beach. We are a family of five and we all truly fell in love with this place. It is amazing value for money (we stayed off season in mid October). The view at breakfast time (if you can ignore the wasps) is breath taking.

This is a lovely hotel with great service. We were very happy with the room, food, and service. Simone and Barbara were wonderful people who were very helpful with every request. The restaurant servers were very nice; pool and bar nice, and the beach was fantastic. Sandy beaches with great fish to see why snorkeling right off the beach area. Restaurants and bars on the beach area and the hotel drives the guests to and from the beach in a golf cart upon request all day. Just a very peaceful place to stay. Upon leaving, they provide a nice gift of jams as a thank you for staying at their hotel. I would go back for sure. It is off the beaten track so, it is quiet and lovely.
